W...T....F.....?!

Wait….. they made an episode where Craptimate Douchebag-Man goes to Boston? An entire episode where the gimmick is NYC vs Boston with the kind of humor only Man of Garbage could come up with?

It’s titled “Spidah-Man”. Seriously. People got paid for this.

Remember when “The Spectacular Spider-Man” did entire episodes that integrated Shakespearean monologues as a means of informing what was going on as opposed to feeling forced and stuck in there? Remember when they integrated “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” seamlessly into an action story inside a prison?

Well, fuck that shit because Loeb, Quesada, and their Man of Garbage henchmen are bringing you and your kids “Spidah-Man.”

  2. Sounds hilarious in a "oh god, what did they do now?" way. I mean NYC vs. Boston jokes, they're really serious with that, aren't they?

  3. I haven't seen the episode, but I wonder what kind of jokes and Man of Action, or Man of Garbage as Greg said, used for gimmick of the episode?

Speaking of the show itself, the amount of hate for this show from fans is just astounding. Yes, the show has many flaws, including unlikable characters, who are either jerks or morons, annoying humor, Spider-Man acting like a man child, inconsistent characterization and it doens't deserve to be called show, which has Marvel DNA, but this show doesn't deserve that much amount of hate. I can say that there are at least three things that deserve the hatred that Ultimate Spider-Man gets.

    1. All Star Batman And Robin: Boy Wonder ( That comic book series is god awful. Turning Batman into bloodthirsty and sadistic sociopath, who kidnaps 12 year old boy and abuses him, while killing cops and criminals, laughing in monstrous glee and abusing ALFRED, of all people, is just horrible. Even the Joker or Carnage are more pleasant than him. Heroes and even random civilians are either morons or douchebags. And there are even more horrible things about that comic, but the comment would be really long, so i won't mention those problems. What was Frank Miller thinking when he was making it?

    2. The Simpsons episode "Boys Of Bummer" (What kind of person thought that the episode, which revolves around 10 year old boy being abused and almost being driven to suicide by the entire townsfolk due to failed baseball game, was actually a good idea. That episode is just sick and disgusting, and that is the nice way of saying how horrible that episode was. That episode should have not been made in the first place.

    3. One More Day (I don't even have to explain this one)

Is this show bad? Yes, it has a lot of flaws. Does this show respect Spider-Man as a character? No it doesnt'. Does this show deserve the amount of hatred that it gets? I already said what things deserve the hate that this show gets .Is it an ultimate abomination, which should we wiped out from this planet (and yes, I know some people who said it)? No.

    1. I haven't seen the Simpsons episode in question (but it sounds like a good indictment of how seriously this country takes sports), but the other two you mentioned DO get that level of hate.

... and USM deserves it alongside them.

  4. There is an episode from "King of The Hill", which is similar to the "Boys of Bummer", where Bobby Hill is bullied by townsfolk because he refused to accept the high school football team mascot tradition of getting beaten by the rival school's marching band. And in the end when Bobby accepts the tradition and has his butt kicked, while the entire town proudly watches it. Like "Boys of Bummer" this episode is just plain sick. Who would find this idea entertaining, when it is just plain horror.

I still think that USM does not deserve the amount of hate it receives from fans, but it is probably because Spider-Man didn't kill anyone on this show and didn't abuse little kids or his relatives. As bad as Jeph Loeb is, Frank Miller is worse. Imagine what would happen if Miller wrote Spider-Man. Spider-Man would beat Aunt May on daily basis, kill his opponents in brutal fashion and would scream I AM A GODDAMN SPIDER MAN. And since Frank Miller likes hookers, Mary Jane and Gwen would be reduced to prostitutes for the Kingpin.

    2. Alright, alright, I went a little overboard with that. I exaggerated, but we all exaggerate once in a while, don't we, some more than others. Okay, I'm sorry I won't bother you anymore.

    2. No as a fellow spec spidey mourner I agree with you. Everythings going down hill. Right now the only hope spider-man fans have is the next movie coming up. Which, with all the news coming out, is starting to put me on edge. Its beginning to sound overstuffed and the franchise can not survive another spiderman 3. COME ON MARVEL AND DC GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER!

  7. I agree with Greg. Its like they throw every shit idea they can think of in this show, I mean Spidah-Man, seriously? Its a disgrace to the icon... but you cant expect more from the people behind Ben 10.

  8. ^ Er, yes you CAN expect more, since they also made Generator Rex, which was an actual GOOD show! What the Hell happened to them between that and USM!?
